In January 2014, there were 448 new HIV Ab sero-positive individuals confirmed by the STD/AIDS Cooperative Central Laboratory (SACCL) and reported to the HIV and AIDS Registry (Table 1). This is 18% higher compared to the same period last year (n=380 in 2013).

In October 2020, there were 735 confirmed HIV-positive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP). Twenty one percent (153) had clinical manifestations of advanced HIV infectiona at the time of testing. Ninety-six percent (704) of the reported cases were male. The median age was 28 years old (age range: 3-60 years old). More than half of the cases (52%, 379) were 25-34 years old and 28% (204) were 15-24 years old at the time of diagnosis.

From January to March 2020, there were 2,818 newly confirmed HIV-positive individuals reported to the HIV/ AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP) [Figure 1]. Seventeen percent (473) had clinical manifestations of advanced HIV infectiona at the time of testing. Ninety-four percent (2,658) of the newly diagnosed were male. The median age was 28 years old (age range: 1-78 years old). Almost half of the cases (48%, 1,359) were 25-34 years old and 30% (834) were 15-24 years old at the time of diagnosis.

From April to June 2020, there were 934 newly confirmed HIV-positive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP) [Figure 1]. Twenty-nine percent (268) had clinical manifestations of advanced HIV infectiona at the time of testing. Ninety-four percent (874) of the newly diagnosed were male. The median age was 28 years old (age range: 1-67 years old). Almost half of the cases (48%, 446) were 25-34 years old and 28% (259) were 15-24 years old at the time of diagnosis.

From October to December 2019, there were 3,029 newly confirmed HIV-positive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP). Sixteen percent (474) had clinical manifestations of advanced HIV infection at the time of testing. Ninety-five percent (2,880) of the newly diagnosed were male. The median age was 28 years old (age range: 1-71 years old). Almost half of the cases (49%, 1,475) were 25-34 years old and 31% (926) were 15-24 years old at the time of diagnosis.
