In April 2016, there were 772 new HIV Ab seropositive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines. This was 38% higher compared to the same period last year (560) [Figure 1]. Eighty-four percent of the cases were asymptomatic at the time of reporting.

In March 2016, there were 736 new HIV Ab seropositive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines. This was 10% higher compared to the same period last year (667). Eighty-nine percent of the cases were asymptomatic at the time of reporting.

In January 2016, there were 804 new HIV Ab sero-positive individuals. This was 50% higher compared to the same period last year (536) and was the highest number of cases ever reported since 1984. Eighty-eight percent of the cases were asymptomatic at the time of reporting.

HIV/AIDS and ART Registry of the Philippines: November 2015

In November 2015, there were 627 new HIV Ab sero-positive individuals. This was 27% higher compared to the same period last year (492). Most (92%) of the cases were still asymptomatic at the time of reporting.

Ninety-seven percent were male. The median age was 27 years old (age range: 13 years-62 years). More than half belong to the 25-34 year age group while 30% were youth aged 15-24 years old.

In June 2017, there were 1,013 new HIV antibody sero-positive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP). Eighty-eight percent of those were asymptomatic at the time of reporting.
