HIV/AIDS and ART Registry of the Philippines: November 2022

In November 2022, there were 1,251 confirmed HIV-positive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP) and were accounted to the total (108,428) reported cases since January 1984. Moreover, 288 (23%) of individuals reported in November had advanced HIV infection at the time of diagnosis. Forty three deaths were newly reported, bringing the total deaths this year to 919. 

HIV/AIDS and ART Registry of the Philippines: October 2022

In October 2022, there were 1,383 confirmed HIV-positive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP) and were accounted to the total (107,177) reported cases since January 1984. Moreover, 353 (26%) of individuals reported in October had advanced HIV infection at the time of diagnosis. Sixty-five deaths were newly reported, bringing the total deaths this year to 878.

In September 2022, there were 1,347 confirmed HIV-positive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP). This was a 37% increase compared to the same reporting period last year (981). Three hundred fifty-five (26%) had clinical manifestations of advanced HIV infection at the time of testing.

HIV/AIDS and ART Registry of the Philippines: August 2022

In August 2022, there were 1,346 confirmed HIV-positive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP) and were accounted to the total (104,458) reported cases since January 1984. Moreover, 368 (27%) of individuals reported in August had advanced HIV infection at the time of diagnosis. Two hundred twenty deaths were newly reported, bringing the total deaths this year to 541. 

HIV/AIDS and ART Registry of the Philippines: July 2022

In July 2022, there were 1,346 confirmed HIV-positive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP) and were accounted to the total (103,112) reported cases since January 1984. Moreover, 30% (399) of individuals reported in July had advanced HIV infection (217 based on immunologic criterion, additional 182 based on clinical criteria) at the time of testing. Seventy deaths were newly reported, bringing the total deaths this year to 318.

In June 2022, there were 1,472 confirmed HIV-positive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP). This was a 2% increase compared to the same reporting period last year (1,495). Twenty-five percent (372) had clinical manifestations of advanced HIV infection at the time of testing.

HIV/AIDS and ART Registry of the Philippines: May 2022

In May 2022, there were 1,308 confirmed HIV-positive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP) and were accounted to the total (100,298) reported cases since January 1984. Moreover, 30% (392) of individuals reported in May had advanced HIV infection (214 based on immunologic criterion, additional 178 based on clinical criteria) at the time of testing. Thirteen deaths were reported in this reporting period bringing the total of 214 this year.

HIV/AIDS and ART Registry of the Philippines: April 2022

In April 2022, there were 1,198 confirmed HIV-positive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP) and were accounted to the total (98,990) reported cases since January 1984. Moreover, 29% (350) of individuals reported in April had advanced HIV infection (174 based on immunologic criterion, additional 176 based on clinical criteria) at the time of testing. Thirteen deaths were reported in this reporting period bringing the total of 189d this year.

In March 2022, there were 1,539 confirmed HIV-positive individuals reported to the HIV/AIDS & ART Registry of the Philippines (HARP). This was a 48% increase compared to the same reporting period last year (1,038). Twenty-nine percent (449) had clinical manifestations of advanced HIV infection at the time of testing.
