Mongolia National AIDS Spending Assessment 2014-2016

Mongolia has undertaken an assessment of spending on national HIV/AIDS response since 2012.The first National AIDS Spending Assessment (NASA) report focusing on expenditures in 2010-2011 was published and disseminated to decision-makers and relevant governmental and non governmental organizations (NGO) in 2012. The current report summarizes the findings of the third NASA. Unlike the previous two assessments conducted in 2012 and 2014, which estimated biennial expenditures, the current exercise assessed total spending on national HIV/AIDS response for a period of three years (2014, 2015 and 2016).

National AIDS Spending Assessment (NASA) (2016-2017)

HIV spending in Myanmar has been constantly increasing, reaching a record US$109.5 million in 2017, which represents a 21% increase of the 2016 amount (US$ 90.3 million). Public spending has increased both in absolute and in relative terms of the national HIV spending, increasing from 2% of total HIV funding in 2012 to 19% in 2017.

National AIDS Spending Assessment for the Period 2016-2017 in Cambodia

National AIDS Spending Assessment (NASA) provides a framework and tools for undertaking a comprehensive analysis of actual HIV expenditures (health and non- health). It equips decision makers with strategic information that allow countries to mobilize resources and improve accountability mechanism for efficient and effective programme implementation. Between 2009-2015, Cambodia has conducted five rounds of NASA and this report summarizes the HIV expenditures for the period of 2016-2017.
 

Philippines: National AIDS Spending Assessment (2007-2009)

There is increasing trend in overall spending for AIDS from 2007 to 2009. For the given period, most of the resources went to prevention interventions (65%), followed by program management and administration (19%), and care and treatment activities (7%).

Mongolia: National AIDS Spending Assessment (2008-2009)

Mongolia for the first time produced NASA which covers period 2008-2009 along with Mongolian framework for National AIDS Spending Assessment methodology. All matrices stated in NASA framework were compiled except matrices by Beneficiary Population.
