People Living with HIV (PLHIV)

HIV surveillance is the systematic and regular collection of information on the occurrence, distribution and trends in HIV infection and factors associated with infection for use for public health action.

These guidelines have been written to serve all medical personal treating patients with HIV in Myanmar. It is meant not only for the National AIDS-STD programme but also for local in international NGOs, hospital doctors, and general practitioners in the public and private sectors.

This report tries to highlight these successes as much as the work that still needs to be done in order to reduce new infections further and to ensure that all the people in need of treatment receive ARVs.

The annual HIV Sentinel Sero‐surveillance survey, the systematic and regular collection of information on the occurrence, distribution and trends of HIV infection and factors associated with the infection, has been carried out since 1992.

This manual is intended to be used primarily to train about the rights of people living with HIV (PLHIV), people affected by HIV and key affected populations as well as about the remedies available to protect those rights in Viet Nam.

This report reflects the views and conclusions of the Commission, as well as its recommendations to countries, civil society actors, the private sector and the United Nations.

This Book of Abstracts contains the abstracts of papers that were selected for presentation at the National Conference of HIV/AIDS Research.

This new issue is based on the results of a new worldwide survey of the foreign representatives of 200 countries, made between November 2007 and June 2008 with the support of the German foreign ministry.

The global AIDS response has steadily grown and gained momentum since UN Member States made a Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS at the 2001 Special Session of the UN General Assembly.
