Publications on People Living With HIV (PLHIV)

Viet Nam commercial hub and its most populous city is committed to the 90-90-90 targets and joined the Fast-Track city initiative in 2015. Having recently shown how integrating HIV services into the general health system was possible and recognizing that stigma and discrimination remained formidable barriers to people living with HIV and key populations, a pilot initiative was launched to reduce discrimination in health care settings.

Indonesia is the world's fourth most populous country, with 261,890,000 people, spread over 13,000 islands. The capital, Jakarta, has an estimated population of 10,370,000 (2017). One of the world's mega-cities, the mayor signed on to the 2014 Paris Declaration, Fast-track Cities: Ending the AIDS Epidemic (Cities Achieving 90-90-90 Targets by 2020).

Although access to effective HIV antiretroviral treatments has improved significantly – enabling people living with HIV to live long and productive lives including working and contributing to society in many different ways – people living with HIV continue to face discrimination in relation to work in terms of finding employment, keeping jobs and furthering career progression.

One of the objectives of this presentation is to determine national prevalence estimates and related risk behaviors for HIV and syphilis among entertainment workers (EW).

This handbook aims to facilitate the active involvement of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) in the Global Fund/Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Country Coordination Mechanism (GFATM CCM). It outlines basic values and principles, providing practical information and tools which can be adapted to national contexts.

Concerted and integrated efforts are needed to prevent and address both TB and TB-HIV burden in the region.

One of the objectives of this presentation is to estimate the prevalence of HIV and syphilis among people who inject drugs (PWID) and people who use drugs (PWUD) and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) among PWID.

Following the government’s ongoing ‘war on drugs’, law enforcement operations increased, leading to a rapid rise in the numbers of people held in detention and prison facilities.

This document provides guidance to governments, people living with, at risk of or affected by HIV, policy-makers, and other stakeholders on how to intensify the integration of HIV with social protection and other programmes for ending poverty and inequality towards ending AIDS.

This report highlights the findings from a seven country study of stigma and discrimination in the Pacific region funded by the Global Fund through the UNDP Pacific Office in Fiji.
