Biography

Dr. Pandu Riono is a Senior Epidemiologist. He is a Lecturer at the University of Indonesia, Faculty of Public Health. He previously worked as a Surveillance and Advocacy Specialist at FHI-Indonesia.

He specializes in epidemiology of HIV/AIDS and sexual risk network for HIV and STI, and also other infectious diseases. For the past ten years, he has provided technical assistance and training to professionals and institutions in Indonesia, including Epidemiology of HIV/AIDS, Strategic Planning, Program management, Monitoring and Evaluation in Indonesia.

He was a recipient of Fogarty Fellowship and completed his PhD in Epidemiology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), California in 2001. His dissertation was titled “Sexual Network among Men and STD/HIV Epidemic in Indonesia”. He has been serving as the In-country Collaborator for Fogarty AIDS International Training and Research Program, University of California, Los Angeles.

He has been involved in regional activities related with Risk Behavioral Analysis Workshop. Also, he has served as member of the editorial team for National Behavioural Survey Reports.
