HSS India_Country_Report_2008-09

The national response to the HIV epidemic is guided by data obtained through HIV sentinel surveillance. The HIV Sentinel Surveillance, conducted annually since 1998, generates data to improve tracking of HIV trends, as well as improves the understanding of the epidemic’s characteristics and its level of proliferation across geographical areas.
